Many states have tried (and continue to try) to ban "pornographic
speech", and the Supreme Court consitently holds that this is
unconstitutional; that the stricter standard of "obscene speech"
is the standard.

Though the law often has little to do with logic, I would see other
provisions of the First Amendment enjoying the same protection at the state
level....
