Interesting. Competition here, has many banks offering totally free
checking, and being over 50, at AmSouth, they have a "50+"
totally free checking, as well, that includes unlimited online banking.

They've got a ton of the normal suspects (payees) in their pre-configured
list, so when setting it up, you only have to pick the person to pay.
Others, you type the info in one time to get them setup. Again, I'd rather
that the bank pay the 37 cents for the stamp, or on their pre-configed
accounts, it's EFT, no paper at all.

I've spent much time doing the navigating site to site to make the
payments, it's just easier using the one location.

Bank of America, I believe, also has free online banking, and you can link
as many accounts as you want to pay from (Bank of America accounts). Plus,
at both, you can do instant transfer of funds from one account to another.

I used the BillPay at one point, just figured if the bank wanted to give me
the same service free, have at it, who am I to complain about
free....
