Uh-huh....and?  I don't see your point.  You still seem to be defending saying
something derogatory about an entire race.  MY point is, that if it's offensive
in front of that race or group, it simply shouldn't be said, whether a member of
that group is present or not.  It's not a matter of political correctness, it's
a matter of politeness and respect toward everybody.  That old golden rule
thing.  Out of fashion, perhaps, but that doesn't mean it should be.
