I have owned a knitting machine for years and I paid much more for my machine
that $300.00. I was more like $1000.00! ... and it is a very good
machine but also very basic... it is not eletronic or computerized... but
does support punch card patterns and has a beautiful stitch... I have a
Brother's Knitting Machine... I would have to look up the model number to be
able to tell you much more right now... I have had it now for about 10
years... and it continues to get quite a work out from time to time...
especially around the holidays...
Since I started quilting a few years ago though I have not done as much
knitting either by hand or machine. And of course my RS'ing has taken over
the place of crocheting and needle punching.
None of these goodies are ever very far from me on a daily basis so I can
definitly pick up any of these goodies any time I want without a problem!
As far as knitting machines go... I know that the prices for good machines
continue to go up... and the pricing is as diverse as it is for sewing
machines... so much depends on what you are getting...
Hope this helps a bit.
Julia
