Thanks - can I email the three files to georger at your nls mail account?
You're not blocking stuff from hotmail are you??

Re your question on indexing websites, I have not given any thought to that
issue. My aim was simply a desktop search, mainly for the thousands of text
files that I have accummulated. On a reasonably fast machine, my program
starts instantly. I just type in a query and press Enter. The results (ALL
matching files) are listed within a couple of seconds. I can open a file in
my text editor (or Notepad or whatever) very quickly, sort the list, and
open the folder holding a file.

The default.htm I mentioned is just simple html for a download page to
describe the program, and allow a click to download the setup or the
source.

I imagine you are talking about a web page that allows users to enter a
query to search the content of your web site - my program is not related to
that.

If you regularly search for files on your local computer, there are a
number of tools you can use. You might like to try my program. If you have
the Indexing Service already running on a computer, it should only take a
minute to install my program, run it, and decide if you like the way it
works.

If you have VB6, you don't have to do an install - you can unzip the source
and open Search.vbp, then press F5 to run.
