I'd be happy to put it up as a downloadable program, if you are asking if
I'd like to use it to replace the search feature I can't answer that till I
know more about it.

One question that comes to mind immediately is if I have 3 indexes for 3
different websites configured in indexserver, can it search just one index
and can I specify that index somewhere that is hidden from public view (as
in not default.htm)? With the current setup, the indexserver itself is
setup so that each index has a default website (it's configured in the
indexserver).
