Hello Steve,

>SA>of salvation through the law. Note: if righteousness came through the
>SA>law, then Christ has died in vain (E.g. Galatians 2: 16-21).

>GP>Jesus was certainly a sincere Jew, but he was just as certainly NOT the
>GP>Messiah!

>LL>The Jewish concept of Messiah is different from the Christian
>LL>concept of Messiah.

SA>The Jewish concept will change towards the end of the Tribulation,
SA>("Jacob's Trouble") when the remnant of Jews come to realise that
SA>they have been dudded, and that the Antichrist they have accepted
SA>as Messiah is an impostor...

Well, it is possible the new Messiah will be in power when Arabs
conquer Israel...

>SA>They reject Jesus Christ as the one mediator between God and man, who
>SA>gave himself as a ransom for all (as in 1 Timothy 2: 5 and 6), in favour

>GP>So does the largest Christian sect (the RCC) -- they don't believe
>GP>in a single mediator, because they believe Mary is "co-mediatrix with
>GP>Christ"(per catechism)

>LL>Catholics do not hold a belief in Mary as "co-mediatrix with
>LL>Christ". Nor has the Pope, or any previous pope, made any teaching
>LL>declaring Mary as "co-mediatrix". There certainly is nothing in
>LL>the Catechism of the Catholic Church stating Mary as
>LL>"co-mediatrix". And there is no papal encyclical stating Mary as
>LL>"co-mediatrix".

SA>It may not have been officially proclaimed as dogma, but it is a widely
SA>held Catholic belief that Mary is "co-redemptrix",
"mediatrix of all
SA>graces", "Mediatrix Potentissima" and other
(blasphemous) titles.

Some Catholics hold even weirder beliefs. But just because some
Catholics hold a certain belief does not mean that it is the teaching
of the Church.

If it ain't in the Catechism of the Catholic Church, or in a Papal
Encyclical, it ain't part of the Teaching or Magisterium of the Church.
