George Pope wrote to James Bradley, "howdoodily doodily do?"
.
JB> GP> Yes, just south of Vancouver, on a delta, home of Vancouver
JB> GP> International Airport.
JB>
JB> Visited a cousin there once IIR. Nice place, but some rowdy wildlife.
GP> Not now -- it's all been developed now!
I was talking about the bi-pedal type of wildlife. If that's what they call
'developed,' I'm just too old for it.
JB> GP> California Alberta?
JB>
GP> So what IS "Cal. Alta."?
Opps... Sorry, I thought it was attached to the tearline of the BBS, and we
were just *yucking* it up. It's Calgary. The province, you know. The
abbreviation is an old one that we even used on envelopes before the postal
code came into affect. I didn't intend to be evasive, but it often comes out
that way.
BTW, I've heard that italics is now signified by "/". I still use
the "*",
which now means a shout. I'm NOT shouting, unless I use capital letters. Don't
want to be even more misconstrued. <-;
JB> GP> No, I can't -- just know mine's a North Indian Curry, because
JB> GP> my homemaker is from the north and taught me her family recipe!
JB>
GP> Do you want the recipe she taught me?
I don't see why not. How about on MEMORIES where a few more might see it? I
have troubles standing at a stove, but I should be able to give it a try
sometime.
JB> I qualify for subsidy, so each 'meal' would cost $5. As I was eating
GP> That's what they are here, too, or there's the meal program
GP> here in my building for the same price, but still too rich for
GP> my blood, when I can do better buying ingredients & cooking for
GP> myself!
A nurse asked me if I am a good cook. Then she suggested that I should keep on
doing that. It's therapy for me too. Get up or starve. <-;
JB> Chairs are a real, um... Sore spot for me. /-:
GP> Not me -- I bring my own! *G*
Well... Unless I dragged around a love-seat! 0-8 I think I mentioned my sciatic
tends to flare when exercised or sat upon?
JB> ...And you used to run a pretty popular BBS, didn't you?
GP> Not I -- called a number of them, cosysopped a couple, but
GP> never yetgad my own *sigh* (it's still on the Dreams list! *G*)
I guess I saw you post when you were co-sysop then. That or in a dream
somewhere. We suffer from the same dream maybe!
JB> much malleability. You should have results by now, no?
GP> Another 2-3 weeks, I think -- I'm not worried -- I'll hear from
GP> them when it's time!

JB> wake up my own endorphin system was an *interesting* if not taxing
JB> time.
GP> Sex is a great natural endorphin-producer!
As I've just heard. Wish I knew that two years ago.
GP> So, apparently, is laughter! (guess which MY preference is!
GP> heh)
When I was in the thick of it - sort of speaking - and while in an impromptu
conversation with a stranger, she told me that my sense of humour should stead
me well. Later, I was informed that the lady was a retired nurse, and quite
high in the chain of command when on the job. I did however use some anger too,
which isn't too flattering to me now, but something I had to come to grips
with.
JB> <-; I guess I could classify myself as co-dependant on auctions. Need
JB> I say more?
GP> Yeah, you do, if I'm to understand what you're saying! *G*
OUCH! I caught that blow.
While on the pain medication, I would load up, and head off to quite a few
auctions. Then, after spending the day on my feet, I would need more medication
to get back the next day to pick up my booty. I had to stop that when I ran out
of convenient places to put these pieces! I stopped short of filling my house,
but I now have to get creative on where I am to put all this to make use of it.
The real delusion I realize now, is that I thought I would be able to use this
stuff.
JB> JB> Do you *really* want to know?
JB> GP> Go for it!
JB>
JB> Careful what you wish for!
GP> still waiting. . .
Well I was born in a farm-service town, and moved to the big city at the age of
five...
Seriously, George. I often don't intend to be evasive. But, I have had some
practise at it. Thanks for having none of it!
Tip of the hat to you.
... If I am what I eat, then I must be fast, cheap or easy...
