I did but it is unrelated.
 
Up until a certain version, and don't ask me why, there was a design-limit by
Chris Irwin of 8000 messages per area in the database. After that you needed to
switch to a new directory and build again a database of up to 8000 messages.
 
This has changed in the meantime.
