Possibly just stupidity & incompetence. While Dole has been in public
life for the last 35 years, he hasn't had a serious re-election
challenge for the last 22. And if you don't count the various
primaries, he's NEVER run a nationwide campaign, he's really only
familiar with campaigning in Kansas.
Not that that excuses this shit . . .

The problem is, as I see it, the Supreme Court. It took Reagan and Bush
12 years to begin turning the liberal court around. Four more years of
Hilary making appointments to it and we're back to square one.
I've got to believe that Bob Dole's appointees would be at least
marginally better than the Clintons . . .
