When net 2:500 was started all nodes had a V23 modem that accepted 75 BPS
as the incoming speed. The modems were made by a Dutch firm called Datad.
The modems were heavily under development and new roms were distributed
quite often. The modems also supported 300 BPS for exchage with the hubs
 and nethost.
