I have long enjoyed studying regionalisms, how the language is used in
various parts of the country, such as "pop," vs "soda,"
vs "coke" (small
'c'). etc. But I've got to say, you guys down there sure do say
"y'all" a lot.

Try "Tao of Photography" -- Gross/Shapiro's version. Also look for back
issues of Aperture. For the way out, and I do mean way out, see Jan
Saudek's work or Joel-Peter Witkins books. And for sheer bliss, look for
the coffee table book,. Baseball in America edited by the Day-in-the-Life
folks.

So y'all look for 'em, eh? (Canadian/Texan)

Ed Buffaloe's web site is very good. Lots of terrific information. I love
his landscapes, but his nudes always remind me of the first efforts by a
shy male photographer. Lots of tentativeness as he gradually works up the
courage to get it all, so to speak. One of the worse examples on his web
site is the wide angle shot of his model from below looking up. Not too
flattering of her thighs. I will say, that while the series looks a lot
like an early effort, he does manage to bring out his model's personality
and sense of humor.

here is the correct address for the Buffaloe/nudes page. It is impossible
to find it at his site. This address was a part of his email newsletter.
