Dave was hit by a Randy Johnson fastball for uttering:

I didn't say that you were right by the book, just that you were wrong by the 
implementation. In 1969 when they lowered the mound, they redefined the 
strike zone as:
That space over home plate which is between the batter's armpits and the top 
of his knees when he assumes his natural stance.
This changed the rule from 1963's change which defined it as from the top of 
the shoulders to the knees.
As it is defined, the strike zone would balance out hitting and pitching. The 
umps have lowered it until some of them either call it at the belt or others 
give the pitcher about 2-3 inches above the belt.
