| subject: | Re: Mac Reveals Something about Windows Shares? |
From: "Frank Haber" (Remove bindings, NIC, reboot)..... No, no, I don't have to do that. I **fixed** everything just by unchecking and rechecking the sharing and client checkboxes - no reboot required! I was just wondering if anyone had ever seen anything like this. TCP to the net was never affected. I could browse and ftp just fine. NETBEUI is bound first though, on all my personal machnes. But there is also a constant trickle of new machines in and out of here. Remember, this hit SP1 and 2 both, and also 2000. Some machines, but not all. New machines and old. DHCP and static. (No 9x machines, though.) If someone just knew something that could grey those boxes, that would help. At least I know a new place to have to check. --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 379/45 1 106/2000 633/267 |
