MP> JK>KA> First of all, if you object to what other people are teaching
our
MP> JK>KA> children, I sugegst you teach them yourself. That is a
rerogative
MP> JK>KA> and a responsibility of parenthood.
MP> JK> I did. Unfortunately, the public school system is so well
ntrenched
MP> JK> that many parents don't have sense enough to oppose it.
MP> Non-sequitur. The "fact" that the public school system is "so well
MP> entrenched" does not have bearing on what sense people have.
EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE BEEN COMPLAINING ABOUT!
The mystique that the schools, combined with that of the lousy "mental
health" case workers, is second only to that of some churches.
Incidently, the superintendant of our local school district called me
yesterday over the local levies. He is actually trying to reach people to
find out why they are not voting for them. We discussed some of the reasons
I know of why folks are not voting for them. We also discussed how to
present information so as not to alarm those with opposing views.
I think this man may possibly be one outstanding exception to the status quo
in most areas today that is keeping this nation behind Russia, England, Japan
and every other so called civilized nation as far as the quality of education
goes.
