That's a fact. Parrots do their best to mimic what they hear, but
obviously they don't have the physical equipment to produce low pitched
tones.  (Except for some African Greys who seem able to sing bass.)

No to my knowledge.  Young is easier, but an OLD sponge picks up stuff
too!  I had a Lilac Crown Amazon who learned to sing the Monday Night
Football theme.  LOUD!  He was very old at the time.
