It is very similar to VB in some respects.  It has a similar development 
environment that is visual.  However, it is superior to VB in several ways:
- It compiles to true native code, not just compiled p-code.
- It is true object oriented.
- Most Delphi controls, including built-in and your own custom controls, are 
compiled right into the EXE and do not require separate installation or 
registration.
Because of its object oriented nature, Delphi can be more difficult to learn 
than VB.  But that's because it is more powerful.
