Aw, where's your sense of adventure?

I'm mouthing off just to wonder why the all-in-one "security
suites" are the most intrusive and the most perfomance-sapping? 
Whereas, if you cheap out and run AVG Free and MS Antispy, likewise free,
you seem to be reasonably well-protected, and your machine doesn't act like
a 386 trying to run Win 95.

Oh, and don't forget, no ranking is absolute, and everyone has his
points..... Trend may have gotten sloppy, but their online spyware scan is
one of the best.  And  F-Prot's ?alpha rootkit rooter-outer saved my bacon
once.
