The grant, which is under the Space Communication Program, will fund research regarding the modeling, simulation and analysis of the data communications network for autonomous, planetary rovers, said Phillip L. De Leon, associate professor of electrical and computer engineering. The research will be simulated on computer with some terrestrial measurements and models used in validating the work. De Leon along with electrical and computer engineering professors Steve Horan, Deva Borah and Ray Lyman, will conduct the research with the help of at least three graduate research assistants. "The grant allows our group to continue its work with NASA in communication and signal processing," De Leon said. "Some of the grant money will be used to provide assistantships and stipends (for students)." - END OF FILE - ========== @Message posted automagically by IMTHINGS POST 1.30 ---* Origin: SpaceBase(tm) Pt 1 -14.4- Van BC Canada 604-473-9358 (1:153/719.1) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 153/719 715 7715 140/1 106/2000 633/267 |
