Greetings, Ford!
On 29 Apr 98, Ford Tolbert entered the following ASCII codes for the
express viewing pleasure of Bill Wunsch:

FT> Was given the task of going into the Sea of Japan looking for a downed
FT> air crew,
Now, that's the kind of stories I like to hear!
FT> Believe me, a B-29 was armed back then.
I used to read a lot about airplanes way back when. One little booklet that
I had (probably is still around here, if I sort through all the junk - pardon
me, all my valuble property) described the design of the B-29 in detail. I
found the description of the control system, and the gun control systems very
interesting.

FT> That Lancaster was a biggg old bawx in my book, not like some of the
FT> pretty A/C that the war produced. Wasn't the snarl of a Merlin
FT> engine music to the ears?
A few years ago, the Regina Flying Club managed to get a restored Lanc here
for open house day. I managed to get a day pass and timed it right to be out
at the airport when it departed. It did sound real pretty doing a fly past.
