Hi:
P> Hi! Thank you for writing back to me! I call a lot of boards but
P> please don't say anything to anyone about me asking for help cuz a
P> lot of those people know me personally.
No one here will say anything to anyone else regarding this. However
please bear in mind that this is a public conference available to a lot
of people.
P> didn't start drinking until early march...after I told him about a
P> certain problem I had that upset him...is this whole thing my fault?
A persons drinking is their own responsibility. If someone is having a
problem with alcohol or drugs, it is very easy to take on a feeling of
being at fault, or blame ourselves for it. In some cases the drinker
will blame others for their problems. A good idea would be for you to
call a local Alanon Group (look in the phone book) and ask about this.
Alanon is a 12 step support group for people who known someone in their
lives who has a drinking problem. A problem drinker can cause their
friends, spouses and families pain and confusion and Alanon can help
with this. They are an anonymous group and when you call, will treat it
confidentially.

Don H.
