subject: Nuclear Proliferation

Hello Alexander,

ak>>> No war will be with North Korea.

RB>> Unless Kim miscalculates. But even he must know what will happen if
RB>> he goes too far. His threats won't mean much then.

ak>>> The US is a cynical liar. It perfectly knows that NK's nuclear
 ak>>> program is defensive.

RB>> Yeah, sure. Kim proves that nearly every day with threats to nuke
RB>> Guam or even the USA, plus naturally South Korea. Some "defence".

ak> Both sides exchange with threats. It is like hysteric barking of two
ak> dogs. It is better to bark loudly that to fight in honest. But a small
ak> dog always have less reason for fighting. It barks furiously only when
ak> it fears the big dog.

Not true. Little dog tempt big dog to chase tail. After big dog
takes bait, little dog run really fast. Run underneath pipe hidden
behind bushes. Big dog smash into pipe knocking itself out cold.
Then little dog stand victorious, wagging tail for all to see.

ak> All the NK's threats have been provoked by US/South Korea's military
ak> actions and sanctions and they (the latter :) like it. North Korea dies
ak> of hunger, but such horrible expenses are made not for the sake of
ak> conquering or destroying the world nations. All that North Korea wants
ak> is leaving it alone. And it knows well that the nuclear weapon is its
ak> the only chance to keep enemies at distance. In other case it will
ak> repeat the destiny of Yugoslavia, Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan etc.

It is game of extortion. NK threaten to blow up nuke if not pay
ransom. First dear leader never had to blow up any nukes to get
what he wanted. Second dear leader only had to blow up two nukes
to get what he wanted. Third dear leader is still learning, even
after blowing up four nukes, not getting a single thing.

ak>>> But striking its head against the floor in hysterics the US just
ak>>> uses the NK problem as a pretext for deploying its military forces
ak>>> near China. It is a real target.

RB>> You may not have noticed it, but the USA had had troops stationed
RB>> in South Korea since 1951 or so, and has bases in Japan and
RB>> Okinawa, and good relations with the Philliphines - and of course
RB>> also owns Guam. So China isn't as isolated as you apparently think.
RB>> And if anyone is going into hysterics, I would pick Kim Jung Il as
RB>> the winner, although he's competing with a master at that game in
 RB>> the White House.

ak> Human meat (soldiers) is not important much. First of all the US wants
ak> to put anti-missile system on the Chinese borders and have a constant,
ak> big navy presence there. There is a good excuse for it in face of NK.

China and South Korea have normalized relations again, after clearing
the air concerning the anti-missile system.

RB>> So little boy threatens big boy.

ak> Read again my explanation about two dogs above.

Chinese bred dogs for protection. Big dogs for outside, little
dogs for inside. However, all dogs love raw meat. Which is why
dogs must always be fed before they are put on duty.

RB>> Big boy threatens back - but if
RB>> push comes to shove, he can wipe little boy off the map. And since
RB>> little boy knows that, he's careful to avoid crossing the red line.

ak> Now China has enough influence and military power to prohibit any using
ak> of nukes near its territory. Such actions are impossible without
ak> informing China and its consent. Usually big dogs fight only with small
 ak> dogs. ;-)

Dear leader has offed his uncle and half-brother, both of whom
were close to China. Why was this done? To send a message that
needed no translation.

If dear leader is allowed to keep nukes, others will be sure to
build their own. South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Myanmar, Australia
all come to mind. How long would it take for a country (such as
South Korea) to develop nuclear weapons? Less than six months.
How much of a stockpile can each country have within that time
period? Best estimates are at least 4,000 for South Korea. And
with Japan feeling threatened, it would likely ditch its pacifist
constitution in favor of what it once had prior to the end of WWII.

Wouldn't that be lovely? The world does not need the US (or Russia)
to blow itself up. It can do so on its own quite nicely.
