bu
BJ> DM> NA> I had the Atari 2600. Months went by, and when I finally got
my
BJ> DM> NA> beat *ALL* the games for it, because I mastered my gameplay on
t
BJ> DM> NA> Atari. Atari made great GAMES, even though it only had 8-color
BJ> DM> NA> graphics and 3k of memory. I still play the Atari once in
awhile.
BJ> DM> NA> Brings back great memories...
BJ> DM>
BJ> DM> I didn't get my NES until 1991. I loved my atari 7800. I used to
play
BJ> DM> it all the time. I had this game called Dig Dug, where you dig in
the
BJ> DM> soil and pump air into the baddie's mouths until they blew up. And
BJ> DM> had this FOOd Fight game where you shot pies and fruit at the evil
BJ> DM> chefs! ...you know that sounds like the old game burgur time..
BJ> i loved qubert,pacman,ms.packman,Burgertime...
Never did like the Pacman games, other than MS. Pacman, maybe... QuBert was
one of the more addicting ones, though. ;)
BJ> NA> Dig Dug! Ahh! I remember that game in the arcades. Ate many of my
BJ> NA> quarters! :) I loved that game, along with Pole Position, Yars
Revenge
BJ> NA> Asteroids (of course), and most of the Activision games that were
made
BJ> NA> for it...
BJ>
BJ> Atari 2600 was great i remember back then...circus atari..yars
BJ> revenge(Great game) warlords,space invaders,defenders,keystone cappers,
BJ> Berzerk.lock n' chase...Pitfall..loved the game and now its out in 3d
BJ> for psx...yes!!!! loved froger to and now thats out in 3d too..
Warlords! Ah! Great 4-player game. I remember being very young and sitting
around the ol' B&W television with friends playing that game for hours!
Berserk was an amazing game for its time, so was Pitfall. Do you remember
when F-14 Tomcat came out? It came out in 1986 when Atari made the
slimline"
2600's to compete price wise with the NES. F14 had 64k of memory and hi-res
graphics and it was simular to Flight Simulator for the PC. F14 was probably
the best game as far as graphics/sound goes...
BJ> DM> Don't dis the Atari. I would still play it if it wasn't for a
roken
BJ> DM> plug and rfu switch.
BJ>
BJ> NA> I'd never put down the Atari. Have you ever played "Crystal Caves",
BJ> NA> the one with Bentley Bear? Its a 3d maze type of game. I have it
or
BJ> NA> the 2600, there used to be an enhanced version for the 7200.
BJ>
BJ> is crystal caves that little guy...thats a minor lookin for gems
BJ> i played that game apolige has it..i know i spelled it wrong oh well
BJ> also a good game same guy differnet clothes..secret angent...look
BJ> around for it..great game heeh
Yes. Apogee, you mean? Crystal Caves came out in '84. The Atari version had
expanded memory, but used low-res graphics so the game could hold more
vels.
It also had a complete musical soundtrack, pretty rare back then!
Nick.
