I don't know WHO you were talking to, but the SUpervisors revised the
original contract to cut the digital radios to less than 10% of the
total, so it's gonna be REAL hard to use it if no one has a radio
capable of it. That saved over $10 million, I understand. And digital
has even MORE problems than normal 800mhz, especially in an area like
San Diego, with all the hills and valleys. I think people are going to
realize TOO late that they've made a BAD decision.

No system, not even ones PLANNED from the start for such operation, is
actually doing that, and I'll bet that the SO system won't be that way.
