Wouldn't require New Radios. Would be done through a special Patch
between the Systems using the HP Car to Car frequency. It would only be
used fro close in Freeway interaction between the two agencies.
I had not intended to imply that HP would leave the Low Band
frequencies as it is Mandatory because of their large area coverage.
Just as the County Sheriff is still going to use in some manner their
Low Band frequencies and intertie it into the new system somehow.
The Volunteers will continue to use the old frequencies for an
unspecified time also. Which is going to make the Deputies Happy.
Becasue we have some Unbelievable Lousy Net Discipline types in our
group.
