I'm SO excited ....... We did X's FIRST job yesterday - a QUINCE (15th
b/day party for the Spanish girls).
I want to tell you, it was fancy indeed!!! As I'm told, the Spanish go
ALL OUT for their daughter's 15th birthday - there's a huge Mass ..... then a
reception that lasts well into the night and maybe even into the next day for
them.
Our job -- to carriage the birthday girl to the Catholic church mass and
back .......
The girl, Maria, was dressed almost like a bride - sequiened white ball
gown (right out of "Gone with the Wind" type dress) ...... we had decorated
up the carriage with white and gold nylon and lace - pom-pom type things on
the spokes of the wheels ...... the ride to the church was about 5-6 miles
from their house ..... X trotted on just he had been doing this all his life
-- I was soooooo proud of him!!
Buddy was dressed to kill also (I was just the "groom" for the horses so
I didn't have to be dressed up ). We took Tuffy to help keep X quiet --
heck, we really didn't need to, if X was any quieter, he'd have been dead
.
There was MUCHO commotion ..... LOTS of people -- LOTS of cars (loud and
most of them had their radios blaring) ..... X didn't pay any attention to
anything except what he was suppose to be doing ...... he's really a grand
little trouper for sure.
Anyway, I thought I'd let you know how his first job went ...... we made
some good contacts (a caterer and a photographer who asked for our number).
