PN> I believe the NRA did the best they had with what they had to work
PN> with. It isn't the fault of the NRA that the politicians are
PN>allowed to contravene the constitution on a regular basis: it's
PN>_ours_. Not you, or Dave, or me specifically. But all the hunters
PN>who won't fight for our rights, all the brain dead who believe the 5
PN>o'clock news blow-drys, and all of us who don't make a determined
PN>effort to fight for our rights on an on-going basis and encourage
PN>and educate our neighbors to do the same.
Be careful when you blame hunters. For this is exactly what the anti's
want to happen. Have us split apart and fight among ourselves instead
of presenting a united front against them.
It's not "hunters", just as it isn't "target shooters" or "home
defenders". Instead of focusing on that which will divide us, focus on
that which will unite us. After that, perhaps we can safely degrade
into petty bickering and squabbling.
For as much as I've seen hunters question the need for some home defense
weapons, I've seen home defenders slander the very concept of hunting.
And I've listen to collectors degrade all that shoot guns.
