* EleBBS Support List Hi Bert, > Drew: > Thank you for sharing your way for Linux. > I forgot to mention I am on a Windows platform. A simple killing off a > processes within windows can cause corruption of files. There is a simple way to kill all active EleBBS sessions under Windows, by creating a semephore file for each node with the following name: RAXITn.e Where n=the node number to kill, and e=the errorlevel to exit with. These files should be created in the Semephore directory defined in Elconfig. One thing to be careful with, is that these Semephore files are later removed by the the event handler batch, before the you allow callers to log on again. Otherwise the first user to connect to each node will immediatly get logged off due to that file existing, and EleBBS will then remove that semephore file on it's own during that process. Again, to make prevent users from logging into the BBS during the event, I suggest using my BBS2Net telnet server available on netfoss.com which has a semaphore feature to prevent logons. The latest version includes a sample config for spawning elebbs.com properly.
