Hi Elaine
When I had the pet shop, we had green cheeks.  They're darling and a lot 
of them seem to sleep on their backs - so don't get scared if you come 
in one morning and see him feet up.
   
As you are talking about a baby bird, think of this.  Some babies teeth 
and bite and it seems to me that some birds beak - similar to biting.  
Just keep telling him no gently.  If you show him kindness, he will 
probably stop very soon.
