On W2K it doesn't do that, with a web server if I attach with PCanywhere =
index server keeps right on chugging. I don't recall if it does that on =
my w2k desktop but I believe it does as I shut it down because it was =
slowing me down (back when I started using w2K).

Could this be an XP feature?

Older hardware doesn't matter. If there is any user activity it =
stops. It won't restart until there is a period of inactivity and will =
stop as soon as there is any.
