The only way I know to help an alcoholic/addict with a using
problem is to be supportive of them when they appear ready to
quit. When they are ready you may make a few suggestions
to them:
1) Detox center
2) Treatment Center (Be prepared to do alot of paper work)
3) Halfway house for alcoholic/addicts...(This is where I got
straight).
4) Alocoholics Anonymous
The real deal is that the first three are all going to suggest
the fourth. It is known fact to anyone who has been in recovery
for some time that it is not likely that you will find a cure
for your friend/family member. Addiction is a disease that is
not cureable. It can be put in remission though.
Good luck
