->
-> Like you, I'm just a computer freek. Don't cook much, because Mummy
-> does that. :-) But at least, when I do, its somthing good. :-)
That's what I was like as a teenager. I was taught to bake as a really
little kid,but didn't get serious until I was in high school.
-> Your first guess was correct: I'm blind and using recipies on comput
-> is much more practical than having heaps of books [not in the kitchen
-> but in my room!] My Bible takes up one shelf and not to mention all
-> schoolbooks! [I'm in my final year]
I can imagine. My regular books are bad enough! Do you use some sort
of voder software? [old term for a computer that talks to you] I can
understand how you can type something in easily enough; most serious
chip-heads are touch typists anyway. It's figuring out how you read
what's on the screen that has me a tad perplexed.
->
-> RH> What do you like to cook? I'm mostly an oven type, but branch

-> I enjoy making pasta, inventing my own sauces. Like
-> most men I like improvising with ingredients and
-> literally following my nose! :-)
I can imagine the last part well enough; it's how I make apple butter
and cranberry sauce. WHen it smells like it's supposed to smell, and
tastes about right, it's done. There are also some texture things, and
a candy thermometer for jams and such, but sauces and spreads for the
most part aren't made to literally look good. Apple butter can and
does sometimes look about the same color as, well.... I've never
seen anyone care yet!
-> my stuff. I also routinely save all the messages addressed to "all"
-> try and build up a recipe database for the day I need to take such
-> matters seriously.
Oh no! A recipe hound at this age.... If you can get it, you might
want to check out the main Fido _Cooking_ echo too; it's a lot busier
than this one, and has a lot more recipes too.
