That's exactly what I think. The novelty in Duke just ran out so fast. 
I could play doom over and over and over and still not get bored of it. 
I still have it on my harddrive ever since it came out and have no 
plans on deleting it. Doom is like those classic arcade games like 
Joust or Defender that you just never get bored of becuase of the 
awesome gameplay and classic feel
