Just a SINGLE click on the .pl file caused it to EXECUTE (open). The same thing happens with batch files (.cmd and .bat). Because my Search has Edit as the default, clicking a script file will edit it and not run it. But then I needed to add "txt=open" as an exception to suit Windows 2000.
