Replying to a message of Carol Shenkenberger to Bj”rn Forsstr”m:
BF>> Is that so strange in America? It's done here on a regular basis.
BF>> Some we can eat a comlete dinner in the store while we're shoping.
CS> Well you wouldnt get a complete meal in a USA store that way, but
CS> you'd find 'nibbles' in many of them. It may be some areas dont do
CS> that so some here may not be all that familiar with it?
Uh, you can find a complete hot meal in many supermarkets around here, served on
disposable plates (or styrofoam clamshell containers for takeout) with
plastic tableware,
and a small area with tables and seats for dining. Even in a town the size
of Red Oak,
Iowa. Some stores even cook-to-order things like omelets for breakfast.
CS> The 'nibbles' tend to be a newish item or one that folks may not be
CS> all that familiar with and may be a pre-packaged product or may be a
CS> fruit, cheese, or deli-meat type of item.
They have those, too.
