From: "Rich Gauszka"

Thanks, I've got a free disk on this pc right now and was planning to use
this to give the VMware player a try.

I really wasn't aware about the VM player until I read a blurb about it and
XP authentication. After going to the VMware site I thought it could
possibly be useful with Linux - especially after others did the work to
assemble the virtual applications

VMWare Player triggers Windows Activation process Posted by David Berlind {at} 3:37 pm

According to VMWare group product manager Srinivas Krishnamurtiff, there
are some things that are not virtualizable. One of them is the host
system's process. Said Krishnamurtiff "there's a processor ID that's
not virtualizable."
