Gary, what are you using?  I've always fed it Federal Hydrashoks for 
defense, 120gr handloads for practice.  I second your findings of a weak 
firing pin strike, I keep the pin tunnel very clean, and I've alos 
reduced the force on the spring slightly.

Sounds exactly like my line of thought when I got it.  I also radiused
the edges and the magazine catch.  Works very well with an Uncle Mike's 
size 10 inside-the-waistband holster, supposedly only big enough for tiny 
.25acp 'guns'.  I think I want to develop a .17acp cartridge.  Powered by 
primer only probably...  :-)
