And the answer is: No.
Because Perl since Perl 5.10, the old DynaLoader.a has been put into the actual
libperl.so itself, and the old DynaLoader.a static library module shouldn't be
used (and isn't available for use). CentOS 7.1 has perl 5.16.3.
So, in short, the configure script it outdated to support newer versions of
perl. At the very least. :)
