Remember, the "Night of Long Knives" was done in 1934, just
shortly after the Nazis came to power. From the books written about
Heinrich Himmler and Hermann Goering, this act had been planned for at
least two months and the Gestapo carefully worked up all the warrants
necessary to carry out the raids.
