My father never had these kinds of problems in college teaching in either
flagship state universities or in a state university that had mainly
"nontraditional" (age 22+) students, but these problems _abounded_ at two
small private colleges he taught at after 1975.
As to whether these problems will exist at a college, a lot will depend
on its demographics. If it's a rich kids' college, the kids have more money
to spend on partying and it shows.
