That is correct.  The SciFi Channel contract is exclusive in the US,
meaning that local station syndication will end for the term of the
SciFi Channel contract.  I don't recall the length of the contract, but
it seems to me that it is 2-3 years.
A bonus of this deal is that the episodes will air unedited.
