Well, naturally.

That's the normal condition for an incandescent lamp. Even super
efficient QI lamps ate only about 12% efficient at converting
input power to visible light. The other 88% goes off as heat.

But I was debating whether the lamp filament subjected to a
changing input voltage approximated more to constant power (as
you claimed) or constant current.

Why did you try to introduce this business of the light output of
the filament?
