There does not seem to be any proclivity toward investigating this aspect
(even Dan Burton today called it a legitimate "mistake"), but I
am highly suspicious that the hole opened up in the e-mail system was no
accident, which would help explain why so much apparently sensitive
correspondence was run through the systems not being backed up or indexed.
My suggestion would be to follow up with all technicians responsible for
the e-mail systems from the beginning and find out if that
"convenience" was created intentially for the purpose of
unmonitored internal dialogue related to coordinating illegal activities.

(Remember, Stephy testified they were ordered not to take notes during
meetings. (Whether they did or not, at least that became the official
position), which indicates they knew enough to preemptively cover their
tracks when necessary.)
