Replying to a message from Steven Horn 1:17/67 to Gord Hannah, About Bizarre winter and all, On Sun Jan 01 2006 GH> grain crops could suffer to a great degree. Will also affect GH> cattle farming as the grasses will not be as plentiful as they SH> Hopefully it is still a bit early to think about the effect of the SH> missing snow cover on spring vegetation. Howeverm this is the time SH> of year we get our cold temps and if this doesn't show up what does SH> this mean? I hope I do not come across as an extreme environmentalist, but unless this is an anomaly in the weather pattern, we may very well be in the start of a major shift in weather patterns due to global warming, to a large extent caused by us (human race) the dumbest, cruelest, and greediest life form on the planet. We were entrusted this earth to care for and preserve and on that avenue we are failing big time. I NEVER thought I would ever hope for a decent winter, as I do not like winter, but this is absolutely crazy, it should be -35C and 6 feet of snow already, and worse to come. Hope this helps. Keep us posted. We are a fine board trying to make it better. http://www.pris.bc.ca/ghannah ghannah{at}pris.bc.ca Cheers!
