D>The one I remember seeing (and possibly owning) was _Baby James Harvest_
D>which sounded kinda like (Yeah, Kenneth, SoCal) baby food as I recall.
Much like the Rolling Stones, you can compile some great albums from some
"wildly uneven" (my favorite phrase) albums. _Baby_ was not one of their
better ones.
D>_Alone We Fly_ makes me think of either Supertramp or Alan Parsons Proje
D>in their less commercial modes.
That's BJH, outside of some early stuff (and the live albums I mentioned).
With a different label or some US tours
D>maybe BJH could've been as big as one of them...
I see them the same way, just like Camel. They're better than a most of the
dreck that DID make it, and for prog palatable to mainstreamers, well above
average. Of course, I can think of many groups I could say that about...
I did some business traveling with a major league geek who liked all that
slick 70's AOR dreck (like REO Speedwagon after they made it) who actually
got mad when I made fun of Huey Louie and the Deweys.

Do wah diddy - or don't they?
