Holger it was a home-made CD demo of a 3d space flight sim.
The `company' (read one person) who made it is small, not a big name at
all,and was using a local store to give free copies of the demo to customers.
The store's head office did -NOT- know this was going on at the store I got
it from and neither did the store's manager.
The employee involved has been fired as he had a vested interest in the CD
his friend made, and the store had NO knowledge of his activities before they
fired him. Now as I see it,the store is not responsible for something it
never knew about and the guy who -was- has been fired.
Justice served for me.
I plan to let it go as their game writing reputation has been trashed
already.
Whether the store management or police choose to let it go is a matter I
know nothing about nor care.
My main concern at the time was to get this system back and running as fast
as
I could as I need and use it every day for FIDO,Internet, studying, and work.
And doing mail on a laptop for a few days at 14400 was NO fun!
HG> The discussion so far has been worthless as a warning for THAT party.
As they are a newcomer to game writing I think I have trashed them enough
locally to kill any hopes they have of ever doing anything the big gaming
companies do.
I plan to let this thread go now.
