subject: WinXP Startup.

From: "Hrvoje Mesing"

Hi,

anyone had problems in WinXP boot startup process delay ? So, on one comp.
I have a situation where boot process is in delay of about 70-75 seconds.
I tryied Bootvis and found that there is no disk, i/o, CPU, processes,
services, logon activity in that period. Only Idle() and nothing more.

Well, under Init counters, found that this particulat period is devoted to
Logon + Services (thats why this happens on screen where it shows Windows
XP boot logo > actually, the time when Services are suppose to start
up).

I checked the drivers, services, processes (active, not active), shares to
computers not existing, logon problems, network problems, dns, possible
AD/LDP servers, workgroup settings, and cannot find any problems.

Maybe a faulty hardware, but then again I could see i/o to driver, sleep,
problem, error, anything.

Any ideas ?

Thank you,
