Neeeeet!  Close, but no cigar!  I guess by now you've probably read
Nat Potter's message about the 727 APU exhaust port in the right wing
root.  I remember the flight attendants having to make 'calming' 
announcements addressing the "torching" as we called it.  Nasty.
I think that was most likely the 'wing sparks' referred to by the media.
