Apart from other programs in some USofA cities, Bob is probably thinking of the
'96 buyback. What a lot of Aussies don't realize is that the buyback cost
approx AUD$500,000,000 and achieved nothing. There are more firearms in
circulation today than then; just different types since the unified state-based
haphazard registration systems.
