oh that's too bad. the glibc version on my server vm is 2.23.

the people on the internets say dont update to a version that isnt standard
with your distro.

well in a way this is a good thing. i'll create a separate vm for my bbs like i
should have done in the beginning and i'll run it on a newer ubuntu distro.

Thanks for the help. i never had to do that variable, or i dont recall doing
it.
